Tried It Tuesday: More All Natural Goodness #Giveaway

I have some more awesome, all natural products for you to check out and to enter to win! I mentioned Kuli Kuli a few weeks ago in my Tried It Tuesday: Homeopathic and Superfood Edition (post). I was contacted by Aiya Americas to check out their matcha green tea powder. Plus, Torie and Howard sent me their new flavor of organic hard candies to taste and share! I am going to tell you about these products and then 3 lucky winners will get a sampler of all three of these awesome products to try for themselves!

They make energy bars and a powder with a superfood ingredient that I had never heard of called moringa. Kuli Kuli founder, Lisa Curtis, was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Niger. After a few months with limited fruits and vegetables, she found herself experiencing early signs of malnutrition — a condition that affects over 18 million children across West Africa. A friend told Lisa about moringa, a local tree with highly nutritious leaves and handed her a bag of kuli-kuli, a Hausa food made from peanuts, to make a delicious, nutty moringa dinner. Lisa incorporated moringa into her diet and began to regain her strength. Learn even more about moringa here.

Moringa is gluten-free, vegan, a great source of fiber, calcium and antioxidants. Kuli Kuli’s moringa is sustainably sourced and supports women’s cooperatives in West Africa. Moringa is the only plant that contains a complete protein, iron, calcium and vitamins. It is a “super-leaf.” With Kuli Kuli’s Moringa Powder, you can incorporate the benefits of moringa into your smoothies, meals, and snacks.

Kuli Kuli makes energy bars in Black Cherry, Dark Chocolate and Crunchy Almond with moringa. These all natural bars are date based and are chewy with pieces of nuts and include the super nutritious moringa leaf, as well. Kuli Kuli bars are small but filling. The bars have protein and fiber and are high in Vitamin A and iron. These bars are a great way to get in your vitamins from natural food sources. They are also gluten free and vegan. All of the bars have dates, almonds, moringa and agave. The Black Cherry adds cherries and the Dark Chocolate adds chocolate (and cherries). My fave is the Dark Chocolate. The Crunchy Almond is good, but tastes a bit plain to me. The Black Cherry is very similar as the cherry is not a pronounced flavor – may be that I am used to cherries being heavily sweetened in other products. The chocolate (no surprise) adds some extra taste and yumminess. These bars have an awesome nutrition profile and are definitely worth a try!

Three lucky winners will get one of each flavor to try. Use the Rafflecopter below to enter. In the mean time, you can follow Kuli Kuli on Twitter or Facebook. You can buy these bars online or at Undiscovered Kitchen.

Matcha to Go is intended to be used with water exclusively so as to enjoy the pure, smooth tea flavor.  You can add the single serve stick directly to water, hot or cold. Matcha to Go Sticks are designed to make Matcha drinks as quickly and easily as possible.  By blending Matcha with dietary fiber, they have eliminated clumping making it easier to mix in with just a spoon.   For a cold matcha, you can just pour the stick into a bottle of water, shake and enjoy!

I tried the to go pack in cold water with ice. Shaking it in a water bottle would have been easier. It took me a while to mix it all in. That said, it was tasty. I really enjoy the fresh taste of Matcha – especially cold. This product contains no sweeteners and is only 10 calories. It has a great nutritional bang for the buck!

I will send the three lucky winners each two Matcha To Go sticks to try. In the mean time, you can get Aiya Matcha to Go online ($18.80 for box of 10). You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

Last but not least, Finds’ fave Torie and Howard (review) have a new flavor of organic hard candy out! They sent me some of the new Meyer Lemon and Raspberry candies to try and several tins to give to readers. These candies contain all natural ingredients, are USDA certified organic, Kosher, free of any preservatives, additives, artificial flavoring, chemicals or dyes. They are also allergy friendly.

The new Meyer Lemon and Raspberry flavor is delish. To my taste buds, it is primarily lemon, but it has a nice, sweet and tart taste. Each candy has only 12 calories. Another great bang for the buck for a satisfying treat!

Comment on my Instagram post or Facebook post to win a 2 oz tin – last day (11/11). I will split the third tin for the three lucky winners to try with the other prizes. You can keep up with Torie & Howard on PinterestFacebook or Twitter.

Use the Rafflecopter below to enter to win a sampler of all three of these awesome finds. The contest is open through 11/19 and three winners will be selected and notified on 11/20. US entries only. Winners must be 18 or over and the offer is void where prohibited.
