Celebrate Women with the Female Founders from Kuli Kuli & Amäzi #Giveaway

March is International Women’s Month. What better way is there to celebrate than by checking out two amazing brands that give back with awesome female founders?

If you’ve been around here, you know I’m a long time fan of Kuli Kuli. Lisa Curtis founded Kuli Kuli to help Americans experience the power of superfoods like moringa while empowering female farmers around the world. [Here’s a post with the history of Kuli Kuli.]

Lisa introduced me to Renee Dunn who founded Amäzi. Similarly, Renee loved the tropical fruit she enjoyed while studying in Uganda. She saw many problems with the supply chain and farmers’ ability to capitalize on their products. Amäzi sources fruit directly from farmers and keeps production in country by partnering with Ugandan businesses. Learn more here.

Lisa and Renee partnered to make a Moringa Hibiscus Dried Pineapple Snack. It’s picked at peak ripeness and dried. It has three ingredients pineapple, moringa and hibiscus. That’s all. It’s made with simple, organic ingredients and it’s naturally gluten free and vegan. It’s delicious! I love the taste and texture of this snack.

Kuli Kuli also recently launched three superfood blends. These powerful powders are functional and flavorful. You can boost your daily smoothie by blending with your favorite ingredients. They’re all Certified Organic, plant based, gluten free, contain no artificial sweeteners.

They come in three different blends, each with their own functional benefits. They are:

  • Mood Magic – an uplifting blend of 4 powerful superfoods: baobab, maca, hibiscus and cinnamon known for their mood-enhancing qualities.
  • Gut Bliss – a powerful blend of 5 superfoods: moringa, baobab, lucuma, ginger and lemon balm known for their gut health supporting qualities.
  • Green Power – packed with nutrient-dense moringa and USA-grown green superfoods: wheatgrass, barley grass and broccoli designed to power you through the day.

I tried Mood Magic mixed with oat milk and with hot water as a tea. I like it both ways but definitely prefer it hot like a tea. The mix of flavors is perfect and it helped me over my afternoon slump. I was amazed at the taste considering it has no sweeteners or added sugars.
