5 Things I’d Tell You Over Coffee – July ’22

It’s the first weekend of the month, so grab your mug for a coffee date. I‘m linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance and Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the Ultimate Coffee Date.

What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!

Just leaving this here…I’m sure we’d talk about this!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that we booked our trip to Spain to visit with our friends from Russia. It will be out first international trip since February of 2020. I’m so excited! I’ve missed overseas travel. We’ll be on the coast north of Barcelona and then head to Madrid and Seville and return from Madrid. We’ve been to Barcelona a number of times, but this is our first time to visit Madrid and Seville. I’d ask what your travel plans are for the summer

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I was invited to the IFT FIRST conference in Chicago next week. Introduced in 2021, IFT FIRST stands for Food Improved by Research, Science and Technology. It is IFT’s response to the transformative nature of the global food system. IFT FIRST is a place where professionals can discover the latest global trends, newest innovation and cutting-edge solutions. There are a lot of new companies and ingredients to check out and the Keynote Session is a debate entitled “Should We Eat More Processed Foods.” Should be interesting! Stay tuned.

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that we’re staying home for the 4th and are doing some local BBQs. I’m kind of excited to not be on the road this weekend as I imagine there’s lots of crowds everywhere. I’d ask what you’re up to for the holiday weekend.

If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you’d checked out my Functional Chocolate Company and PROBAR giveaways. These were two favorites of mine from Sweets and Snacks this year. The new PROBAR Peak Bars are very tasty and the Functional Chocolate Company bars are yummy and have additional health benefits!

If we were having coffee… I’d say that I’m excited for some new running tours that my friend Tom is developing. Tom and I met doing Runstreet events and he’s an art, architecture and history buff! Stay tuned for some fun tours – including some food and beer options, too!

If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!

I’m linking up with DarleneMichelleReneeJenn and Zenaida, for Fit Five Friday. Join us!

PS. Please don’t forget my great giveaways.
