Ultimate-Coffee-Date-Badge-e1416682466503Welcome to the sixth Ultimate Coffee Date link up of 2016. Can it really be June already?? I‘m linking up again with Coco @ Running with Perseverance, Lynda @ Fitness Mom Wine Country, & Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner. What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup and “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!

Brooklyn Half and By Pond Farm!

If we were having coffee… I would tell you that I had another light travel month. I didn’t really go anywhere for work which is unusual. I headed east to run the Brooklyn Half and to see my brother and many friends. It was just what the doctor ordered. I was feeling kind of down and reconnecting with so many friends really reminded me of how lucky I am to have so many amazing people in my life here and in the NY area. Next weekend, I am heading to Miami to meet some girlfriends from college. This is the sixth year in a row that some group of us has met for a weekend. It is another great opportunity to re-connect with old friends and to have some fun!

2016 running day

If we were having coffee… I would tell you that I had a ton of fun on Global Running Day last week. I enjoyed a rainy 5 mile run with Stacy, Liz and Liv in the morning. In the evening, I joined the North Face Chicago run group for a 10K fun run with Dean Karnazes. He could not have been nicer and shared some unbelievable running plans with us. I wish him well in his 500+ mile run on The Silk Road. He will run in some places where no  non-military Americans have ever been. It makes the San Francisco Marathon training I need to do seem pretty “easy.” [Want to hear more about my running? Check out my Global Running Day interview post.]

Great ready for some great new finds from Sweets and Snacks!
Great ready for some great new finds from Sweets and Snacks!

If we were having coffee… I would remind you to check out my recap of the Chicago Sweets and Snacks Show. If we were together, I would have likely brought you a bunch of new food finds to try. There were tons of healthy (and healthier) snacks on offer this year. There were many more organic and healthy snacks than in previous years. Get ready for some great reviews and giveaways. I am sharing some of the loot that I picked up as well as full reviews and giveaways of SuperSeedz, Perky Super Food Bites, Toosum Bars, Dick Stevens Jerky Mix and Lawless Jerky. I also loved checking out some old faves and will share great products from some fave companies, too!

If we were having coffee in Chicago… I would ask you if you wanted to join me at some fitness classes this week at A Sweat Life’s Sweatworking Week. Because I have a work trip and girl’s weekend, I can only make a few classes, but I am excited to try a few new classes at Equinox and Pure Barre! The closing party looks great – Amanda is going to check it out for “us.”

If we were having coffee… I would ask you what you’ve been reading, watching and listening to. I’m binge reading the Nicci French series about a troubled Psychotherapist who gets involved with solving crimes set in London. I am on #3 out of 5. I have my book club’s next pick queued up – Devil in the Grove by Gilbert King. It won a Pulitzer in 2013. Nicci French did not, but I am enjoying it nonetheless!

That’s all I have for this month! What would you tell me over a cup? Leave some coffee talk in the comments!

PS. Don’t miss my great giveaways!
