It’s the last Friday of the month, so it’s time to join Marcia for “Runfessions!” Runfessions are running truths or “where runners bare their souls and soles.” Here are my August 2026 Runfessions.

I runfess… I did some trail running and an adventure race in Minneapolis and it was super fun. I was out of my element with the orienteering but I set a modest goal (get over 100 points out of 220/go 10000 steps or more in 90 minutes). I got 120 points and 10,000 plus. We also got breakfast and a super cool swag bag for our efforts. It was a win-win. I was there for the Outdoor Retailer Show. Check out my reel here.
I runfess… I’m ready for fall. But that’s pretty much always true for me. I’ve been noticing a bit of cooler air when I walk out each morning. I’m hoping for nice fall weather for my half marathon the second weekend of September. Are you ready for fall?

I runfess… We finally got a nicer day for our Saturday long run. No rain and not quite as humid for our 18 miler that was 50 days out from the marathon. It’s a super nice crew and the miles flew by! Now we’re 6 weeks out from Chicago. I’m feeling OK and am hoping race day vibes will get me through! Anyone running Chicago this year?
I runfess… I’m working on a reveal of a new performance running watch that will be launched on September 8. It’s fun to be one of the first users. I’m psyched because I can wear it swimming, too. I’m also testing these cool open ear headphones from Bonic with LED light. They are very cool and the sun is rising later each day! Stay tuned for my reviews.

I runfess… I was a bit nervous leading this Chinatown and Ping Tom Park tour because I haven’t done it before but it went great. Isn’t this the coolest view?
Do you have any Runfessions? Please leave them in the comments.
I’m linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee and Jenn for Fit Five Friday. Join us!
Have a great weekend!
