It’s the first weekend of the month, so I‘m linking up with Coco and Deborah for the Ultimate Coffee Date.
What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that we had a surprisingly pleasant (yet very rainy) July here in Chicago. I did a lot of fun (and some very wet) runs and run tours in Chicago. I also love this temporary art exhibit Reclining Liberty in Millennium Park by Zaq Landsberg. We also have Carole Feuerman’s Swimmers on Michigan Ave, Definitely check these out if you’re here.

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that we’re headed to Los Angeles this weekend for a memorial for The Husband’s stepmom, Elaine. She never understood why I would run marathons or many of the things I do, but she always supported me wholeheartedly. She loved the people who loved her family fiercely and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to celebrate her life with family and friends.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you have any fun trips or events planned and I’d tell you that we landed on Morocco for our big vacation in November. I’d ask if you’ve been and if so what tips or recommendations you have. It looks so colorful and exotic – I’m excited to go!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I visited the Obama Center Museum and then the Sky Room and grounds a second time and I can’t recommend it enough! It’s worth a visit even if you don’t have tickets – especially if you can get there at opening time. The first 200 people per day get access to the Sky Room for free. And the Chicago Public Library Branch with the Obama Reading Room is really great, too! Check out my reel here for all of the information.

If we were having coffee… I’d ask what you’re reading and watching and what your favorite books, movies and shows have been lately. I loved Whistler by Ann Patchett, The Parisian Heist by Jo Piazza and Mad Mabel by Sally Hepworth last month. I’m reading The Calamity Club and The Shadow of the Wind right now. I read the latter many years ago but am re-reading for book club.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!
I’m linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee and Jenn for Fit Five Friday. Join us!
PS. Please don’t forget my great giveaways.
