It’s the first weekend of the month, so I‘m linking up with Coco and Deborah for the Ultimate Coffee Date. March felt endless and it was another very schizophrenic weather month here in Chicago. I took a trip to California and one to Philadelphia, so that broke it up some!
What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you all about Expo West. [IKYMI – Read Part 1 and Part 2 of my recap and check out my Instagram reel and story highlights “Expo West ’26.”] If that’s all TLDR, check out my summary of the trends. One of my faves from Sweets and Snacks was candied sour dates – I can’t wait for the Joolie’s Sour Black Cherry Cola ones to come out and I love True Dates Sour Cola, too.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I think Philadelphia is such an underrated city. We lived there from 2000 – 2002. I always loved the size (easy to walk and run most places), history and arts and entertainment. Now there are even more great restaurants and shops and they have so much personality! We ran the Saucony Love Run half marathon (there was also a 7K) and it was a great course with a finish right by the Art Museum (a/k/a The Rocky Steps). It was also very chill compared to some of the large half marathons.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m super excited to go to London at the end of the month to cheer for Sue in the London Marathon. I love London, the London Marathon and supporting my friends. I can’t wait!
If we were having coffee… I’d admit that I haven’t started swim lessons (despite amazing support from Beth and others) or found a Spanish class to take. I know I need to do more cross training (swim, bike or otherwise) and I want to improve my ability to communicate in Spanish. “Talking” about it to hold myself accountable! I’d ask if you’re trying to start anything new!
If we were having coffee… I’d ask what you’re reading and watching and what your favorite books, movies and shows have been lately. We’re still watching Veronica Mars on Netflix (and it’s a ton of fun!) I’ve been watching Love Story (the JFK Jr and Carolyn Bessette one) but I’m finding the depictions a bit rough to watch – especially Darryl Hannah and Jackie Onassis – oof. I read Alice Feeney’s My Husband’s Wife for book club. This one had a few too many twists for me. I think that’s the trend, but I’m a bit over it! I’d ask your opinion on it if you’ve read it.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!
I’m linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee and Jenn for Fit Five Friday. Join us!
PS. Please don’t forget my great giveaways.
