It’s the first weekend of the month and of 2024, so I‘m linking up with Coco and Deborah for the Ultimate Coffee Date. As usual. I’m starting the year with fitness, healthy meals and planning for the new year. And, of course, coffee… lots of coffee.
What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!
If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you’ve made any New Year’s resolutions and tell you that I haven’t. I have some goals and intentions but I feel a better mindset for me is to start every day off fresh instead of waiting for a “reset” button. What do you think? I did enjoy people’s “Ins and Outs” lists and I wrote this post with mine.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you’re planning any trips. We loved our international trips to Sweden and Denmark in June and to Mexico City in November. I also loved going to San Francisco, New York, Philadelphia and Sacramento for running and other adventures. I’m trying to get a London Marathon number for this April and have signed up for Berlin in September. I’m also headed to CA for a birthday celebration and Expo West and NYC for the NYC half coming up. Do you have any trips planned yet?
If we were having coffee… I’d ask what you’re reading and watching and what your favorite books, movies and shows were last year. I’ve been enjoying reading some of people’s faves from 2023. I just finished Bright Young Women by Jessica Knoll and started Strange Sally Diamond by Liz Nugent based on Wendy’s recommendation. We just finished Wild Horses on Apple TV. The Husband loved it. I was just OK on it. What are you reading and watching?
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I didn’t go to California for the holidays this year because of illness and injury (not ours but our parents). I really missed seeing family, friends and getting some extra Vitamin D! It’s been pretty gray here. Thank goodness I went to Puerto Rico with my girlfriends in December and I’m heading to CA in February. We also are so lucky to have wonderful (and fun) family in Iowa City so we enjoyed Christmas celebrations with them. I look forward to rescheduling visits with family, too.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’ve tried some fun new products that I’ll be sharing on the blog soon. I’d ask what new products or trends you’re interested in checking out this year.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!
I’m linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee, Jenn and Zenaida, for Fit Five Friday. Join us!
PS. Please don’t forget my great giveaways.
