Grab a Cup for our November Coffee Date!

It’s the first weekend of the month so I’m having some virtual coffee. I‘m linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance and Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the Ultimate Coffee Date.

What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!

I didn’t buy this mug but I really wanted it!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m SUPER excited to run my 23nd NYC Marathon this weekend! I’ve been smiling since we got here. If you’re running or know anyone who is, I’d tell you to check out my NYC Marathon tips here and my post for runners and spectators on Runstreet’s blog.

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that there are so many fun events, it’s hard not to have FOMO! I went to the Expo with Kelly and Sue and then to the 15+/Streaker Party yesterday and a shakeout with Believe in the Run/New Balance today. We saw a bunch friends and my brother and Dan in NYC otherwise. The challenge is not to over do it!

Lucky gear – Chicago 2023

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I decided to wear the SAME outfit as the Boston and Chicago Marathons this year and 2021 and 2022 NYC and Chicago Marathons. It happens that I wore almost the same outfit for Chicago and NYC in 2019. Are you wondering if I don’t have any other running clothes? I do, but this top is SO easy to spot. I’d ask if you had “lucky” or noticeable clothes that you wear on repeat.

If we were having coffee… I had so much fun at the Expo with Sue and Kelly. We have gone to the expo together the last few years. It’s so much fun to catch up and share this pre-race tradition. I loved meeting Erica Sara who makes awesome jewelry and has a special collection for the race, too. I loved seeing many friends at the Streaker and 15+ party, too. Check out more of my pre-race fun here.

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that even after 60 marathons, I still get nervous and excited. It seems crazy, but it’s true. I’ve been super lucky health and injury wise. I strained my hamstring in the Chicago Half and had a fall in Chicago, but I’m feeling so much better. Fingers crossed that I can hold it together!

If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!

Have a good weekend!

PS. Please don’t forget my great giveaways.
