It’s the first weekend of the month, so I‘m linking up with Coco and Deborah for the Ultimate Coffee Date. How is it Labor Day weekend!? Suddenly this year is FLYING BY! I love fall so I’m excited that’s it’s coming (after the next heat wave).

If we were having coffee…I’d say I can’t believe it’s September. This year is flying by. [Check out my August highlights on this reel.] I’m ready for some fall weather but it’s expected to be 90+ on Sunday and Monday, so I have to wait. Hopefully not too much longer! I do love fall. It’s crazy that I’m starting to get solicitations for holiday gift guides but I guess it will be here before we know it.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask what you are looking forward to this fall. I’d tell you that I’m looking forward to Expo East, the Chicago Half Marathon, the Chicago Marathon, the NYC Marathon and our 21st anniversary trip. We’re thinking Portugal. I’d ask if you’d been there. We were there for a few days in 2001 but I’m ready to go back!
If we were having coffee… I’m manifesting a win of a trip to Iceland. The Taste of Iceland festival is in Chicago this weekend. There are all kinds of events inspired by, and in celebration of Icelandic culture through food and beverage, music, literature, films, art and more. I’m going to a sound bath and rock climbing and I’m hoping to get a chance to spin the prize wheel and to win a trip!
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you we’re watching Borgen on Netflix since we visited it in Copenhagen. We’re going to watch the 3rd season of Ted Lasso and The Summer I Turned Pretty Next (recommended by a 13 year old and her mom). I enjoyed Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano recently and loved the Chicago scenes. I’d ask what you’ve been watching and reading and what you recommend.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you we were totally obsessed with the Super Blue Moon this week. Apparently it’s the last one we’ll get until 2037, so I’m glad we stared at it for so long. Check out Bennie’s amazing photos on this Instagram post.
