I saw my friends from Sow Good at Expo West. Some TikTok folks suggested that they try freeze drying candy in addition to the dried fruits and veggies. Why? To create crunchy treats with intensified flavors. They say (and I agree) that you need “fewer bites needed for your sweet fix.”

These treats are not exactly nutritious, but the preparation enables them to last longer and makes smaller portions satisfying. Freeze drying makes the chewy treats crunchy and they expand making them lighter and airier. The removal of water makes the flavor more intense so you don’t need to eat as many pieces. Even if you do, the packages are only a few ounces!
I’m obsessed with the Lil’ Mints. Just a few does the trick! I shared Cookie Dough Bombs and Chamoy Cinnamon Bears with Molly and Stacy and we were big fans. Their fave was the Cookie Bombs. If you like spicy and cinnamon, go for the bears. The Mini Marshmallows remind me of Lucky Charms. They’re all fun and a great treat when you need a little something. Thank you TikTok!
