I had the opportunity to check out plant based protein bars from LyfeFuel. These protein bars have prebiotic fiber, 12 grams of protein, balanced macros and are made with nutrient dense, real food ingredients.

Essentials Bars come in two flavors. They are Fudgy Maca Brownie and Ginger Lemon Tart. I expected Ginger Lemon Tart to be my fave. It’s good but could use a bit more ginger to live up to it’s name. The texture is nice and it’s filling and enjoyable.The Fudgy Maca Brownie was a pleasant surprise for me. I normally don’t like Maca (it can be bitter), but this bar is very tasty and has nuts and cacao nibs for an added crunch.
