Tried it Tuesday: Natreve MOOLESS Animal-Free Whey Protein #Giveaway

I had the opportunity to check out Natreve’s new MOOLESS Animal Free Whey Protein. This new protein powder is made with Perfect Day. Perfect Day’s animal-free whey protein is “molecularly identical” to the whey protein found in cow’s milk but is made via fermentation, with no animal inputs. [Learn more about Perfect Day here.] I’ve tried other Natreve products and ice cream made with Perfect Day, so I wanted to give this a try.

Natreve’s mission is “to provide wellness inside and out to everyone, while doing good!” They’re leaders in sustainability, are certified plastic neutral and are “super passionate about cultivating a community that believes in diversity, equality, and acceptance.” They support Equality Now and The Trevor Project.

MOOLESS animal-free whey protein powder is better for you and the environment. Compared to conventional whey protein, it uses 99% less water, has 97% less greenhouse gas emissions and 60% less energy use. It also contains no gluten, hormones, lactose, soy or artificial sweeteners. Each serving contains 20g of protein, 4.6g of BCAA, 100 calories and only 2g of added sugar.

MOOLESS comes in four great flavors. They are Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Cookies and Cream, Strawberry Shortcake and Vanilla Bean Cupcake. They sent me Cookies and Cream and Vanilla Bean Cupcake to try.

This was surprisingly not too sweet and had little cookie chunks.

Both flavors have great texture and blend easily. I mixed the Cookies and Cream with macadamia milk, water and ice in a shaker. It blended really well. I was worried that it would be two sweet and surprisingly, it wasn’t. If you like cold chocolate milk after you work out, this is for you.

I made the Vanilla Bean Cupcake as a smoothie in the blender. I used macadamia milk, water and ice with the mix. It was too sweet for me. I added a frozen banana and it was delicious. I think blueberries would be good to add with or instead of the banana to cut the sweetness even more. Lauren tried this one, too. She said, “I tried the Vanilla Bean Cupcake flavor mixed with unsweetened almond milk.  The powder blended well and had a good texture – not gritty, clumpy or chalky.  It tasted great and was filling. If you like sweet protein powders that feel like you are indulging in dessert, this is the mix for you.”

Want to try these protein powders? I’ll send one lucky reader 3 packets of each of the two flavors I received. Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter.
