5 Things I’m Loving Lately

It took a minute to get my feet under me after 2 action-packed weeks in Spain. Don’t get me wrong, it was awesome. But after two years of limited vacations, I’m a bit out of practice. Also, we got up early every day to beat the heat and stayed up late every night as you do in Spain. I am no night owl! I’m back with five things I’m loving lately.

5 Things I’m Loving Lately

Small signs of fall. Don’t hate me, but fall is my favorite season. The sun is rising a bit later and the temps are cooling off. I’m a fan of many things fall including the perfect running weather. What’s your favorite season?

My new Slashop sleep mask. Slashop sent me a starter kit to check out their bamboo material. They use sustainable plant based fabrics to make sheets and lounge wear. They make fabric that’s cooling, bacteria resistant, dries quickly, anti-static, super comfortable and durable. The mask is so comfortable that I don’t even notice it. I’m eyeing some PJs and sheets. Saucony Endorphin Pro and Endorphin Speed Running Shoes. If you’ve been around here, you know I’ve been wearing Hokas for years (with some Mizunos mixed in for good measure. I bought some Saucony Endorphin Pros on sale and randomly started wearing them before Grandma’s. I wound up wearing them for the race and I’m obsessed. I bought the Speeds to try at the marathon expo and now have 4 pairs in the closet. (They were 50% off plus 12% cash back on Rakuten!) Do you stockpile sneakers you love or is that just me?

Duolingo! You may remember that I tried to learn Spanish with Babbel during the pandemic and it was a flop for me. Our recent trip to Spain and encouragement from Mary and Maria inspired me to try Duolingo. I’m on day 3 and I’m cautiously optimistic. It’s pretty fun! Have you tried it?

Hopefully Remy will let me have a turn!

My new Tesalate sand free towel. I finally found the perfect beach/travel towel. This Tesalate towel is compact, super absorbent and “sand-free.” It’s thin and folds into a small pouch. Perfect to bring to the beach, to races and for travel! They have smaller anti-microbial gym towels, too. I can’t wait to try those!
