I “found” Little Secrets Chocolate in 2016 at Sweets and Snacks. They started with “chocolate pieces” which were a better for you candy coated chocolate and then added chocolate covered crispy wafers. They didn’t have a team at Expo West this year but they did have a code for a great deal on their new dark chocolate coated nougat line. You know I grabbed that and got some to try and some to share. They also sent me some free product coupons to share!
Founded in 2015, Little Secrets products are made with Fair Trade ingredients, natural colors and natural flavors. Their mission is to “reinvent unique, chocolate classics and innovate new products that are made with 30% less sugar.” They are working to source only non-GMO ingredients by 2025 and are committed to sourcing ingredients with sustainable farming and ethical working conditions. They partner with Conscious Alliance to end childhood hunger and keep food waste out of landfills.
They have three rules that I like to follow. They are:
- Chocolate is a simple joy in life, so enjoy it without the guilt
- The best-tasting chocolate is made without conscience-busting ingredients
- Sharing is always optional
The new Creamy Nougat Bars come in two varieties. They are:
- Nougat with Cocoa in Dark Chocolate – Light and airy chocolate nougat drenched in premium dark chocolate makes for an incredible combination of rich and creamy textures for this one-of-a-kind treat. It contains 30% less sugar than similar traditional chocolate bars, nothing artificial and no sugar alcohols.
- Salted Caramel Nougat with Cocoa in Dark Chocolate – Salty caramel layered with fluffy chocolate nougat is drenched in rich dark chocolate for an out-of-this-world treat. It contains 30% less sugar than similar traditional chocolate bars, nothing artificial and no sugar alcohols.
I’m a fan of both varieties but the Salted Caramel is the winner for me. I love the snack sized bars. One bar is only 100 calories and it’s very satisfying.
