Tried it Tuesday: Sow Good Smoothies & Snacks #Giveaway

One of my favorite new, healthy snacks from this year’s NCA Sweets & Snack Show was fruit and veggie smoothies and snacks from Sow Good. If you missed my Sweets & Snacks recap, you can check it out here.

Sow Good is on a mission to revolutionize food. They’ve created snacks that “stay good, taste good and does good.” By freeze drying fruits and vegetables for their smoothies and snacks, they create longer lasting, nutritious snacks and smoothie mixes. This reduces food waste and enables healthy food to travel a long way with a low carbon footprint. Check out how they are sowing excellence with their business here.

Sow Good recently launched with creative, colorful marketing and huge variety of real food, shelf stable snacks, granola and smoothies. They sent me a ton of single ingredient freeze dried fruit and veggies and six of their smoothie cups to try. Their products contain no additives or added sugar – freeze drying naturally concentrates the taste and keeps them fresh.

Sow Good has a great variety of flavors and recipes. They offer 11 smoothie varieties, 9 freeze dried fruit or veggie snacks and 5 types of granola. The smoothies and granola have minimal real food ingredients that you will recognize.

I started with freeze dried pineapple and blueberries. The pineapple was a great, naturally sweet snack straight from the bag. The whole bag was only 110 calories and satisfied my sweet tooth. The Husband liked it, too! I added the blueberries to my oat milk yogurt and granola. They were sweet and tart and a perfect compliment. Lauren tried the blueberries, too. She loved the portability and the idea that you can enjoy them anywhere and in any season.

Kale n’ It is freeze dried apples, mango, kale and cucumber – that’s it!

The smoothies are easy to make and blend well. Some are simply freeze dried fruits and veggies. You add your cold liquid of choice (and ice as desired) and blend. I added oat milk, water and ice to my Kale ‘n It smoothie and it was so refreshing and very tasty. The Chai Life has freeze dried banana and apple with coconut and honey powder and spices – so good!

The Chai Life had banana, apple, coconut powder, honey and spices.
