5 Things I’d Tell You Over Coffee This June

It’s the first weekend of the month so I’m having some virtual coffee. I‘m linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance and Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the Ultimate Coffee Date.

What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that since last month’s coffee date, Chicago is really moving toward “normal” life. Gyms and stores are no longer requiring masks for vaccinated people. Some places (including Millennium Park and my apartment building) are still requiring them. I’m comfortable outside without my mask, but I’m still wearing it into stores and the gym for now. I’d ask what it’s like near you.

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I got to take one of our coffee hosts, Deborah, on a Chicago Running Tour last weekend. We did the Tower to Tower Bucket List Tour starting at 875 N Michigan (formerly the John Hancock Tower) and ran a 10K loop hitting more than 25 sights. Check out more photos on Deborah’s Instagram post.

If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you’ve read any good books or seen any good TV shows or movies lately. Coincidentally, the last two books I’ve read have true crime podcasts that come in to resolve old cases. The books are Possession by Katie Lowe and Beneath Devil’s Bridge by Loreth Anne White. Both kept me guessing! Speaking of crimes, we just finished season 2 of The Sinner. Really good.

Huge prize pack from Cusa Tea and Coffee!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you about a few new coffee products I’m trying. I’ve been testing Redemption Road Fog Cutter Creamer. It’s a plant-based, dairy-free and gluten-free creamer that’s high in antioxidants with 8 grams of protein per serving. Full review and giveaway coming soon! I also got my Alpine Start Coffee with Benefits. It is an instant coffee with non-dairy creamer, adaptogens and nootropics. I’m excited to try it! The last coffee (and tea) product on deck is also instant. I won a prize pack from Cusa Tea and Coffee. I’m a big fan of the Vanilla Dark Roast hot or as cold brew. I’m going to share some of these in an upcoming giveaway so stay tuned.

If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you’ve booked any travel. I’d tell you that I finally purchased a few flights for trips in August and for the New York Marathon in November. I’m also trying to find a July date to visit NYC or NJ. I need to rip the band-aid off and get on a plane! How about you – have you booked any trips or flown yet this year?

If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!

I’m linking up with DarleneMichelleReneeJenn and Zenaida, for Fit Five Friday. Join us!

Have a good weekend!

PS. Please don’t forget my great giveaways.
