5 things I’d Tell You Over (Virtual) Coffee This March

It’s the first weekend of the month so I’m having some virtual coffee. I‘m linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance and Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the Ultimate Coffee Date. Let’s hope that this March behaves better than 2020 – right?

What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!

Happy Women’s History Month!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you about a very entertaining virtual birthday celebration we had for a friend turning 50. I have a group of close women friends from college. Most of us turn 50 this year. The first birthday was this week. The birthday “girl” is running for a local public office. We used VidHug to create a satirical political campaign and birthday wishes. It was hilarious and very well received. I’m hoping for in person celebrations by December for my birthday, but I’m pleasantly surprised with how well it went. I’d ask if you’ve done any creative virtual celebrations?

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that the beginning of March has been transformative – weather wise. This week most of the snow is gone and we have had some preview of spring. Well, sort of. After running all winter in a deep freeze, running in 35 – 40 degree temps feels downright balmy to me. There’s still some snow around but it should be gone next week when we’re going to see high 50s a few days in a row. How’s it by you?

If we were having coffee… I’d mention that I’m trying out some some great supplements. My friends from Gaia Herbs sent me a variety of products to try this spring. In addition to the Immune Support line that I’ve been using, they sent me Turmeric Supreme (extra strength) and some respiratory health products. I’m also loving Red Ace Organics Beet and Turmeric shots. The 2 oz. shot mixes beets with turmeric, organic ginger and more. It’s full of anti-oxidants, helps post-exercise inflammation and tastes great. I also got a bunch of products from vit – a new company that makes inexpensive vitamin blends. I’d ask what you think about supplements and if you take any.

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I got to try out new running shoes from Puma Running. They’re relaunching their run brand with the Velocity Nitro. It’s a nice plush ride and the shoes performed well right out of the box! I also got fitted for some Superfeet ME3D custom inserts that will be 3D printed to conform exactly to my foot. This is a collaboration between Fleet Feet and Super Feet. I’ll have the inserts in two weeks so I’ll tell you more about it and will be hosting a giveaway!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I signed up for some in person races that I think will take place! I signed up for a COVID safe version of the Lakefront 10 miler in April and for a 10K trail race in May. With vaccine progress, I’m hoping some fall travel / races will be in the cards, as well. Yahoo! Are you signing up for any live events?

If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!

Have a good weekend!

PS. Please don’t forget my great giveaways.
