If we were having coffee… I’d tell you it’s your turn to buy because it’s my birthday this weekend. With this year flying by… here we are. It’s not a big one or an exciting one, but it’s a birthday regardless. Here’s to hoping it’s the only “quarantine” birthday I ever have.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I decided to run 49 miles for my birthday – one for each year. Since I haven’t been running long distances (and never run that far anyway) I decided to do seven 7 mile runs in 4 days. Since running in a socially distant way is a pretty much my only social activity, I’m maximizing the number of friends I see over the weekend and getting in some extra miles while I’m at it. By the time I post this, I’ll be 5 down, 2 to go. Have you done anything nutty to “celebrate” during the pandemic?
If we were having coffee… I’d ask what you’re planning for the holidays. We’re staying in Chicago and pretty much carrying on with business as usual – or recent usual. This is the first time ever that The Husband has not been in California for the holidays. We’ll send (and receive gifts) but other than that, I’m not sure what we’ll do. I’ll miss our family, friends and traditions (and the break from winter). Hopefully, next year we can get back to the usual holiday fun.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you’ve seen any good shows or read any good books. We’re loving Sex Education on Netflix. I enjoyed The Most Fun We Ever Had by Clare Lombardo and The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett for book club.
