5 Things I’d Tell You Over Coffee This November

It’s Friday, so I’m linking up with Fairytales and Fitness for the Friday Five. Since it’s the first weekend of the month, I‘m also linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance and Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the Ultimate Coffee Date, too.

What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we’re having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!

Oh – my plants and local Kenyan coffee have been bringing me joy, too!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you to make it a double. This week felt like a month. Am I right? I’d ask what self care you’ve been doing this week to stay calm. I’ve been running, doing some yoga, trying to get “genius” on the Spelling Bee and turning off the radio in favor of podcasts/Audible books when the election news is on. What are you doing to keep up your spirits this week?

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that it was really strange to be in Chicago for Halloween when the first Sunday of November was the 1st. I’ve been in NYC for the marathon every year since 1996 even in the years I didn’t run. I didn’t run the virtual race but I did chat with Lauren for an hour while she did the virtual marathon on Saturday. Sue and I chatted for an hour while running on Sunday to make up for our usual NYC Marathon miles catch up.

Election Day puppy therapy – pandemic style!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that we’re staying put for Thanksgiving this year. No vacation or visit to family in Iowa. We’re trying to think of fun ways to celebrate. The Husband is currently taking his role and puppy godfather very seriously so I imagine our new friend Remy will play into our celebrations. I’d ask what you’re planning and if you have any ideas for fun, new traditions.

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that if you’ve been following along with Lynn’s story, she’s in Mexico now for her HSCT treatment for her CIDP. She’s keeping a pretty detailed blog for friends, family and future CIDP treatment patients. If you’re interested, check it out here.

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’ve signed up for Flex & Flow’s Holiday Sweat challenge again this year. It’s a virtual challenge from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day. This year they have more live (and taped) virtual sessions for movement, cooking and creativity in addition to 20 optional wellness challenges. I love this extra motivation to stay active during the holiday season.

If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!

PS. Please don’t forget my great giveaways.
