Tried it (Again) Tuesday: MealEnders Lozenges #Giveaway

You may remember my review of MealEnders from 2015 (post). I had the opportunity to check them out again. I had a good experience with them so I was excited to give them another shot. Social distancing and lack of travel has me (and most everyone) home a lot more. It’s hard to cut of snacking and grazing, so this seems like a great time to use MealEnders again.

MealEnders are “signaling lozenges.” They “tap into the power of behavioral psychology and sensory science.” The two layer lozenge first gives you a small sweet treat to cap off a meal or satisfy a craving then the inner lozenge clears the palate. It also takes time to dissolve and lets your natural satiety cues signal that you’re full. In a clinical trial, participants reduced their caloric intake by over 200 calories a day without increased hunger. That’s more than a extra pound a month!

MealEnders are an easy, safe and sustainable way to control your appetite and curb cravings. Each lozenge contains only 2 grams of sugar and 15 calories. They’re low-fat, stimulant free, gluten free, kosher and contains no high fructose corn syrup or MSG. MealEnders come in four flavors: Cinnamon, Chocolate Mint, Mocha and Citrus.

The Cinnamon and Chocolate Mint are my favorites. I was a bit worried because I tend to chew hard candy. I had to focus on enjoying the outside layer and then patiently sucking on the lozenge center. The lozenges are tasty and satisfying. They also created a tingly sensation on my tongue. In a way, it was kind of like brushing my teeth – I did not want to eat more (or to have another lozenge). Also, they take 10 – 15 minutes to dissolve and I did find that by the time I didn’t crave anything else. I felt full and satisfied from my meal or snack.

These are great to try for a quick, easy way toward changing behavior around eating. I think they are definitely worth a try if you are like me – and have lost touch with your natural satiety cues. It’s a good time to try them now when the kitchen is always a few steps away!

Want to try MealEnders? I’ll send one lucky reader the Citrus or Mocha MealEnders with a few of each of the others to try.
