Friday Five: Some of My Fave Quarantine Finds!

It’s Friday, so I’m linking up with Fairytales and Fitness for Friday Five. We’ve been following the “Stay at Home” order for two months now. I wrote a post on some new pass times a few weeks ago. I’m still on Zoom, doing the Spelling Bee each day, we’re on puzzle number 5, cooking all the meals (and trying one or two recipes per week) and I’ve been doing Daily Burn workouts most days in addition to my running. Here are some great new products and services I’ve tried in five areas: self care, wellness, learning, fitness and food.

Some of My Fave Quarantine Finds

Self Care. I don’t know about you, but I miss my eyebrow woman so much! Liz B. suggested this Shiseido Face Razor from Japan for removing unwanted facial hair. Best $7 I’ve ever spent!

The folks at DefineMe Fragrance sent me their new hand sanitizer. It contains coconut oil and aloe vera to counteract dry skin from all the washing and sanitizing! Plus, it has 460 sprays per bottle and it’s vegan and cruelty free. $1 from every sale will go to non-profits that support feeding children and families impacted by COVID-19. [Note: it has a strong floral fragrance so it’s not good if you don’t do well with fragrances.]

Wellness. I’ve been trying out some new products from Gaia Herbs for digestive health. I’ve been loving the GI Feel Good drops. They’re made with chamomile, fennel seed and more to support an upset or distressed stomach due to anxiety. Stay tuned for a review of these and their Microbiome products.

I’ve also been enjoying Hilma Immune Support. It’s an awesome drink with Zinc, Vitamin C (Camu Camu), Echinacea, Ginger and more to support healthy immune function. It tastes good, too!

Speaking of vitamins, I’m enjoying Root’d Women’s Multivitamin fizzy drink mix. It’s a super greens inspired multivitamin formulated with probiotics, electrolytes, and a scientific balance of the 25 essential vitamins and minerals women need every day.

Another new thing I’m planning to try is new Audible Originals Bedtime Stories and Meditations for better sleep. They’re free to Audible members. I love Audible for listening to books and originals.

Fitness. I’m still running, doing virtual Pilates with Maureen and Daily Burn workouts. I’ve added Saturday workouts on YouTube Live with Nike Training Club. These free workouts with “celebrity trainers” are live at 12:00 EST on Saturdays but can be replayed any time on Nike Training Club’s YouTube channel. I especially liked Week 5!

I’m also loving my Chicago Flag pattern MyEThree gaiter for a running face covering. It’s very light. The Husband is using his camo one for walking and visiting stores, too. Review and giveaway coming soon!

Learning. I finally started learning Spanish on Babbel. It’s very basic and interactive. They also have podcasts and other travel related topics to brush up before travel. Want in? Get 25% off an annual membership for Babbel – only $62 for the year! Plus, get 10% cash back on Babbel with Rakuten (formerly ebates).

Food. Last week, I wrote a post on Healthy Snacks and Treats I’m enjoying lately including Get Wild Grain Free Puffs, Rule Breaker Brownies, SkinnyDipped Lemon Bliss Almonds, Unite Bars [get $5 off online with code erica5 through 5/20] and PROBAR nut butter.

I just got the new SkinnyDipped Cashews to try and all four flavors of BRAMI’s new, shelf stable, vegan lupini bean hummus. Proper Goods sent me all four flavors of their new shelf-stable, better for you soups made with wholesome ingredients and no preservatives. I treated myself to some Fronen, dairy free frozen dessert including their new Peanut Butter Fudge flavor. Stay tuned for more on all of these!

What are your fave finds of late? Anything new I should try?

Hope you have a great weekend!
