I’ve been enjoying Elmhurst‘s innovative plant “milks” for years. This year, I stopped by to try some new products at Expo East. They were on trend with Oat Lattes and Oat Creamers and a full line of Hemp Creamers. They were one of the pioneers in using hemp! Now it’s everywhere.
Elmhurst ran a dairy for over 90 years. In 2017, they went plant based. They use a patented process to make single ingredient plant based milks with just water. Now they’re the fastest growing plant based beverage company on the market.
Elmhurst sent me their Hemp Creamers to try. They start with hemp seeds which are a great source of Omega-3s and provide a healthy fat. These shelf stable creamers are vegan, gluten free, dairy free and contain no oils, emulsifiers or artificial ingredients. The Unsweetened has 4 ingredients and 0 grams of sugar.
Elmhurst Hemp Creamers come in four flavors. They are Unsweetened, French Vanilla, Golden Milk and Hazelnut.
I love the Unsweetened in my morning coffee. It’s rich and creamy and tastes great. It doesn’t separate like some plant based creamers and it has healthy fats. There’s only 25 calories per serving and 0 grams of sugar. The French Vanilla and Hazelnut have 1g of sugar per serving and are a nice treat. The Golden Milk has turmeric and I like to add that one to tea.
