You may remember my friends from Kuli Kuli Foods. I checked out Kuli Kuli’s Moringa Superfood Bars a few years back. At the time, I had never heard of moringa – a superfood ingredient. [Here’s the post with the history of Kuli Kuli.] Since then, I’ve helped them spread the word on their full line of moringa products.
Kuli Kuli is now selling several moringa products in 2,500 Walmart stores. With this launch, they’ve committed to do more to fight hunger. For every Kuli Kuli moringa product sold in Walmart from Sept 19-Nov 19th, Kuli Kuli will donate a moringa product to a Feeding America food bank.
Moringa is gluten-free, vegan and is a great source of fiber, calcium and antioxidants. Moringa is the only plant that contains a complete protein, iron, calcium and vitamins. It is a “super-leaf.” Moringa is now the fastest growing green supplement, outselling matcha and catching up to spirulina and wheatgrass. Basically, moringa is the new kale – but better!
I made a new smoothie with Kuli Kuli Moringa Powder. This combo would be great for a smoothie bowl, too.
Ingredients:
- 1 Tbsp. Kuli Kuli Moringa Vegetable Powder
- 3/4 c. Fronen Chocolate Non Dairy Dessert (banana, water, coconut cream, honey + cocoa powder)
- 1/2 c. blueberries
- 1/2 c. Elmhurst Milked Oats
- 1 Tbsp. Navitas Organics Cacao + Goji + Acai
- a few ice cubes
- (optional – a tsp. of maple syrup or maple sugar)
I mixed all of these ingredients in my blender.
This combo was rich and delicious. This smoothie was packed with nutrition and tasted great. There are lots of great recipes for moringa on Kuli Kuli’s website. You can bake with it and use it in many savory dishes. [You’ll find the Moringa Powder in Walmart’s baking aisle.]
