I found Munki Superfood Granola at the Summer Fancy Food Show (post). Munki makes “globally inspired all day snacks.” They started with trail mixes and just launched a line of Superfood Granola. They sent me all of the flavors to try and will send a lucky reader some, too!
Munki was started by a couple in Asheville, NC. They love good food, music, travel and global culture. Munki is an extension of these passions. They make good for you snacks with globally inspired tastes. A portion of each sale also goes to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville.
Münki’s Superfood Granolas are made with high quality, good for you ingredients. They’re vegan, gluten free, non GMO, have no refined sugar and are high in fiber. Three of four flavors are veggie powered (but your kids/grown ups won’t know it!) They have about 30g of hemp and plant protein per bag and 16g of whole grains per serving.
They launched with four unique flavors. They are Italian Espresso, Tropical Kale, Sweet Beets & 24 Carrot Cake. I tried Italian Espresso and 24 Carrot Cake at Fancy Foods so I was excited to try the others.
Sweet Beet and Tropical Kale are tied for my favorites. You can’t taste the veggies (especially the kale) and they’re not too sweet. The Tropical Kale has pineapple and maple syrup so there is some sweetness but it’s very balanced. The Sweet Beet has a mix of flavors including coconut, cranberry and mango. It just works! Kristin tried the 24 Carrot Cake and thought it “tasted like carrot cake, but was not sugary like many granolas. It tasted healthy but yummy, too.”
