Friday Five: 5 Things I’m Looking Forward to This Fall

It’s Friday, so I’m linking up with Fairytales and Fitness for the Friday Five. I know for some people that this will be rushing the end of summer, but I LOVE fall. I love fall weather and there are a ton of great events I look forward to, as well.

5 Things I’m Looking Forward to This Fall

Expo East – If you’ve been around here, you know that Expo East is paradise for natural products lovers like me. While it’s smaller than Expo West, it’s a great opportunity to find new brands/products, meet new companies and re-connect with all of the folks I know from previous years. I’m excited to see the new trends and share all of it with you.

Chicago Marathon – I haven’t run the Chicago Marathon since 2007. It was my slowest marathon of 49 that I’ve run and the most difficult. Heat is my kryptonite and the 91 degree, humid day almost broke me. I’m happy to say that I’ve been enjoying my summer training and that I’m ready to vanquish my Chicago Marathon demons. I also have lots of friends running and cheering so it should be a blast. Let me know if you’ll be there!

Kara Goucher’s Podium Retreat Lauren asked if I wanted to join her for the Podium Retreat in Boulder. With the positive vibes from Fit Approach’s Empower Summer Camp in full force (and no 2019 adventure planned with Lauren), I said YES. The retreat is a women’s running retreat but the focus is on personal growth. The theme is “Acceptance.” It’s another great opportunity to meet amazing people and to learn and grow. It’s also in Boulder so I can visit with friends. Wins all around!

NYC Marathon – If you’ve been here, you know I love the NYC Marathon. This will be my 20th running! It’s always the best day of the year and I’m hoping this year will be no exception. Can’t wait! Is anyone running? I can share tons of great resources with you!

Vacation with The Husband – tentatively Greece – The Husband and I took a trip to Southern Italy in November last year and we fell in love. We’ve been drooling over people’s Greece pics this summer and realize that the off season in Greece will be similar to Italy. We’re not really beach people but love visiting beautiful places in temperate weather. Has anyone been to Greece in November?

What are you looking forward to this fall?
