Friday Five: 5 Things I’d Tell You Over Coffee This May

The-Ultimate-Coffee-Date2-1-600x600It’s Friday, so I’m linking up with Fairytales and Fitness for the Friday Five. Since it’s the first weekend of the month, I‘m also linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance and Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the Ultimate Coffee Date, too. If April showers bring May flowers, we’re going to have lots of blooms here in Chicago! I’m excited to leave April behind if only for the weather change.

What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m going on a girls weekend with Sapna this weekend to Puerto Vallarta. I’d ask if you’d ever been there and for recommendations on what to do. We’ve never been. She won a stay at the Puerto Vallarta Marriott at an event we went to last year and I get to be her plus one! I’m so excited especially after this rainy, gloomy week. We don’t take too many beach vacations and it’s been a while since I’ve been to Miami with my college friends.

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I went to my 30 year high school reunion last weekend. I know – right? It’s crazy to think 30 years have gone by since I graduated. I also realized that I’m the same age as my mom was when I graduated from high school. Yikes. I was a bit bummed that the turn out was pretty small. The upside of that was that I got to catch up in detail with the friends who were there. I’d ask if you’ve gone to your high school or college reunions.

I blame Gary for this idea!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I ran the NJ Half Marathon the morning after the reunion with a high school friend and a NJ running friend.  I can’t lie – it was a little rough. I didn’t have much to drink at the reunion but I also didn’t have much to eat and I stood up all night. Let’s just say, I’m not as young as I used to be. That said, I did fine but it was a bit of a slog.

If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you checked out my LuckyVitamin+ post and giveaway. LuckyVitamin now has a membership program with tons of great benefits like 10% off (on top of other promotions), freebies and specials, free wellness consultations and free shipping on orders over $25. LuckyVitamin has great prices on over 2,000 great brands including many of my faves. They’re giving away 3 memberships ($49.99 value) on my post. Don’t miss it!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I can’t believe that it’s only 3 weeks until the Mountains2Beach marathon. You may remember last year at this time I wasn’t even sure about running it. I had so much fun last year that I’m really looking forward to it this time around. I’m sure after I get back from Mexico that I’ll spend three weeks worrying about the weather. LOL.

If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!

Have a great weekend!
