You may remember my review of all natural, energy balls from Frooze Balls. They’re New Zealand’s most popular, plant based, healthy snack. My friends from Frooze Balls asked if I wanted to check out their new Nut Butter Frooze Balls. These are the same great energy balls with nut butter inside. Of course, I said “hell, yes!” They sent me some to try and they’ll send some to a few lucky readers, too, so read on!
Frooze Balls are gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO and have no added sugar. They use only clean, simple ingredients like raw dates, raisins, sunflower seeds, coconut and peanuts. There is nothing artificial and they contain no preservatives.
Nut Butter Frooze Balls are the same great Frooze Balls filled with peanut butter. The peanut butter is made fresh with some pea protein for extra nutritional punch. Nut Butter Frooze Balls come in three flavors: Salted Caramel, Chocolate Truffle and Berry Brownie.
I took the new Frooze Balls to some fitness events. Each package has five energy balls, so they’re easy to share. Everyone agreed that the Salted Caramel was a winner. They’re not too sweet but they taste like a treat to me. The Chocolate Truffle is mild and not too sweet. Unlike some other chocolate energy bars, I could eat it in the morning with no problem. The Berry Blast is perfect for that PB & J fix.
Jen and her teacher friends tried them on their lunch break. The feedback was positive. They all agreed they’d like to take Frooze Balls on a hike. They tried Chocolate Truffle and Berry Blast and liked them both. Frooze Balls are pretty dense, so one or two did the trick.
