Friday Five: Sweet + Savory Snacks I’m Loving Lately

It’s Friday, so I’m linking up with Fairytales and Fitness for the Friday Five. If you’ve been around on my Instagram stories, you may have noticed that I have an abundance of amazing snacks that I’ve found in and around Expo West (and beyond). I found so many that I have five sweet and five savory ones for you to check out. Be on the look out for these great snacks in your local stores, on Amazon and here for great giveaways!

Five Sweet Snacks I’m Loving Lately!

Snow Monkey Superfood Ice Treat – I had a quick taste of Snow Monkey at Expo last year, but welcomed the opportunity try all five flavors. It’s a “vegan iced treat” that’s an “anytime dessert.” It’s dairy-free, nut-free, gluten-free, Paleo and has 21g of protein per pint! Cinnamon and Cacao are my faves so far. The Cacao and Acai Berry are great as the base for smoothie bowls. Find Snow Monkey near you or order online.

Mighty Sesame Co. TahiniBar – I “found” TahiniBars in my New Hope Network Blogger Box last quarter. These 100 calorie Halva bars are delicious and all natural. They’re made with sesame seeds and are gluten free, dairy free and vegan. They come in three flavors – Pistachio, Cacao and Vanilla. The Pistachio is my favorite! They’re the perfect size for a decadent treat.

Eat Your Coffee Snack Bites – My friends from Eat Your Coffee are on trend with new snack bites! These new bite sized caffeinated snack bars come in two flavors – Cocoa Espresso and Pumpkin Spice. They’re the perfect size for an afternoon pick me up or to supplement a morning coffee! Buy Snack Bites now at they’ll donate $5 to Fresh Truck in Boston and give you free shipping with code FRESHCONNECT.

Gutsii Prebiotic Chocolate – I had the opportunity to try Gutsii. This swiss dark chocolate is packed with prebiotics for a healthy gut. It’s all natural, vegan, gluten free, low carb and keto friendly. Gutsii comes in three fun, music inspired flavors – Raspberry Rhapsody, Pinksalt Floyd Rocks and Mint Puffdaddii. You can get Gutsii on Amazon.

Thinsters Cookie Thins – The folks from Thinsters asked if I wanted to check out their new look. The bright bags look great and have the same great cookie snacks. These cookie thins are made with simple ingredients – like real butter, eggs, real vanilla, and cane sugar. They’re non-GMO, peanut free and contain no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. You can find them on Amazon and at these great stores.

Five Savory Snacks I’m Loving Lately!

Positive Pretzels – The folks from Positive Pretzels found me on Instagram. They’re a local, Chicago company that makes pretzels from the best all natural ingredients. Their pretzels are made with only artisan organic flour, organic sunflower oil, and sea salt and contain no artificial ingredients, added sugar or corn syrup. Their goal is to fuel your adventures and passions. These delicious pretzels come in three flavors – Original, Jalapeno and Honey. The Husband is also a fan! You can find them online and at all Whole Foods markets in the midwest.

Barukas Nuts – I supported Barukas’ Kickstarter and then met them at Expo West. Barùkas nuts are from the Amazonian Savanna of Brazil. They’re “the healthiest nuts in the world” with less fat calories and more fiber than other nuts. They contain loads of complete vegan protein and are rich in antioxidants, fiber, zinc, iron, magnesium, potassium and essential fatty acids. Stay tuned for a full review and giveaway. In the mean time, you can get Barukas nuts on Amazon or online.

Tiny but Mighty Popcorn – I found Tiny but Mighty Popcorn at the Good Food Fest. I’ve tried their bagged popcorn before. This time, I grabbed a few boxes of their microwave popcorn. It’s raised to be small so it doesn’t have as much skin or get stuck in your teeth. It’s also gluten free, non-GMO, vegan and easy to digest. It contains no artificial ingredients, flavors or preservatives. I love the buttered! You can get it on Amazon, Thrive Market and at many stores.

gimMe Seaweed Thins – I tried gimMe Snacks’ delicious Seaweed Thins at Expo East and they sent me a care package when I missed them at Expo West this year. This nutritious snack is packed with fiber and plant based protein. They are super tasty and come in three great flavors – Sriracha Almond, Toasted Coconut and Almond Sesame. The whole bag is only 100 calories but it’s surprisingly filling! You can get them on Amazon or in many stores.

Oh Snap! Pickles I love pickles! The nice folks from Oh Snap! sent me some of their no brine added, single serve pickles that make a great on the go snack. They make four pickle varieties including Dilly Bites, Hottie Bites, Gone Dilly and Hottie. They also make four pickled veggies – Cool Beans, Carrot Cuties, Pretty Peas, and Hoppin’ Jalapeños. You can get them on Amazon and many stores.

What snacks are you loving lately? Which of these do you want to try most?

Have a great weekend!
