You may have seen in my recent posts that I’m having a charity event to support my fundraising efforts for the NYC Half. I’m running with Team Alex for the 8th year in a row. The proceeds will go to support Alexandra’s Playground. This organization was founded by my friends, Andrea and Michael Vitale, to honor the life of their daughter who passed away in 2008 when she was four years old. Alex loved to play, so the mission of the organization is to provide opportunities for children in underserved communities to have safe and active play areas.
The best thing by far is the awesome support from my friends. I’m so grateful for my people! The class has raised $1000 so far and my fundraising total is over $2500! Even better than that is the encouragement and enthusiasm from my friends supporting my efforts.
