Friday Five: 5 Great Food/Fuel Finds from Expo East

It’s Friday, so I’m linking up with Running on Happy and Fairytales and Fitness for Friday Five 2.0. Since Expo East, I have a TON of new food finds (and faves) to review and share. I’m going to preview five of my fave food/beverage/fuel finds from Expo East. Keep an eye out for full reviews and product giveaways of all five.

1. Wedderspoon Manuka Honey Plus – I found Wedderspoon a few years ago and love their honey, lozenges and beauty products. They use real Manuka Honey. They just released functional honeys with watermelon seed butter. These “on the go” pouches pair Manuka Honey with “innovative wellness ingredients to create a powerful snack that fuels both body and mind.” There are six flavors – two for clarity, two for vitality and two for immunity. You can get them online or on Amazon Prime.

2. Sustainable Indulgence Superfood Cookies – I found Sustainable Indulgence Superfood Cookies in New York in 2016 and met the Sustainable Indulgence team at Expo West ’17. The cookies are gluten free, vegan, preservative and soy free and taste great. At Expo East, they were sampling the new Snicker (Maca) Doodles with Maca + Flax. I got some to try and will have some to give away. In the meantime, you can get Sustainable Indulgence Superfood Cookies online and on Amazon.

3. Alpine Start Coffee – I found Alpine Start Coffee last summer and I professed my love to them at Expo East. It’s “instant coffee that doesn’t suck.” It tastes great and is an awesome option for travel, outdoor adventures and when you only want one cup. It comes in Original Blend, Coconut Creamer Latte and Dirty Chai Latte. They’re all non-dairy and all natural. Stay tuned for a full review and giveaway. In the mean time, you can get Alpine Start online and on Amazon.

4. Seattle Gummy Company Performance Gummies – I met Seattle Gummy Company at Expo East. They were highlighting their functional fruit gummies, but I sweet talked them into letting me try the Mocca Shots. These are caffeinated gummies with B vitamins to boost performance. They’re perfect before an early morning run. They also sent me their Ernergon Qube Performance Gummies. I’ve been using these in my NYC Marathon training and they’re great. Stay tuned for a full review and giveaway. In the mean time, you can get Seattle Gummy Company products online and on Amazon.

5. The Real Coconut Plantain Flour Cookies – I found The Real Coconut cookies in September’s Fit Snack Box. They were also at Expo East, but I didn’t meet them. I did use a special offer to buy ALL of the cookies. I’m pretty much obsessed with them. The cookies are gluten, grain and dairy free. They’re vegan and Paleo friendly. They come in three flavors: Ginger Molasses, Chocolate Chip and Hemp Raisin. Ginger Molasses is my fave. I ordered more, so I’ll have some to share. You can get The Real Coconut online.

What is next on your list to try?

Have a great weekend!
