I love to try new things – especially those that improve my brain power. I supported the IQ Bar Kickstarter because I was intrigued by an energy bar that acted as “brain fuel.”
IQ Bars were developed by a Harvard neuroscience and psychology major. Once he entered the workforce, he was looking for a solution to his late day crash. The Cacao Almond and Sea Salt is surprisingly chocolate-y and has a nice texture. It’s soft but not sticky or overly chewy like some bars. It’s very satisfying and filling and it tastes good, too. The Blueberry Lemon Sunflower also has a great taste. I reminds me of a healthy version of a cereal I ate as a kid (Boo-berry). [Don’t let that scare you – I have a strong positive association with some tastes from childhood. It’s not crazy sweet or anything.] I haven’t tried the Matcha bar yet but I’m looking forward to it!
