Friday Five: 5 Things I’d Tell You Over Coffee

The-Ultimate-Coffee-Date2-1-600x600It’s Friday, so I’m linking up with Running on Happy and Fairytales and Fitness for Friday Five 2.0. Since it’s the first weekend of the month, I‘m also linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance and Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the Ultimate Coffee Date, too.

What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m excited for some fun adventures in May. I’m going to Zion in Utah with Lauren and Russ to continue our National Park adventures. [See our Grand Canyon recap here.] I’m also joining the Fandells in Ojai, CA. Ken and I are going to run the Mountains 2 Beach Marathon. I’m excited as I’ve heard it’s a great course. I also have a few day trips for work and get to go to the Sweets and Snacks Show here in Chicago. I’d ask what you have coming up this summer.

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m doing the A Sweat Life and Sweatworking Mind, Body and Soul Challenge. It’s free for the month of May and offers 1 month of goal setting, meditations and yoga. I’d ask you to join me. You can get the 411 in this post. I’d ask you to join me. To get in free, you must use the current Sweatworking App (version 1.3.7) AND use this link for access.

Good Life 5k and Lakefront 10 with new friends Amy and Kory.

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m cautiously optimistic about my running. I ran the Lakefront 10 as part of a marathon training run and it was my fastest 10 miler since 2014. I had so much fun and felt great. I’d ask what you’re feeling optimistic about this spring.

College friends reunite

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I had a great time catching up with my girlfriends at our 25 year college reunion. Oddly, we didn’t see many classmates. Rutgers doesn’t do a great job on publicizing reunions. It was nice to have 2 days with this group without families/spouses to get up to date. It was the first time in 15 years that we’ve all been together. Time flies! I also got to see a friend from high school and another one of my best friends from college. There is something wonderful about old friends. They just “get me.”

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I supported Eat Your Coffee’s Kickstarter and I have some perks to share. I’m going to do a full post and giveaway. Since these have real coffee, I’ll share some here, too. I’m adding a $5 Starbucks card to the mix so you can grab a cup, too. I’m going to send one lucky reader 6 Eat Your Coffee Bars (2 of each flavor) and a $5 Starbucks card.

The winner is Kimberly H! Want to enter to win? Leave a comment on this post and let me know what you’d tell me if we were having coffee together. The giveaway runs through May 11. A winner will be selected and notified on May 12. Winner will be selected using random.org based on comment number. Must be a US resident, 18 years of age or older and the offer is void where prohibited. Please note, I am giving away product I received for supporting a Kickstarter. This post is not sponsored.

What’s happening by you? Please share your coffee talk in the comments!
