Jambu is a brand that offers comfortable, versatile and sustainable footwear “for life’s adventures.” Through my relationship with the Windy City Blogger Collective, I had the opportunity to pick an item from the Jambu Spring Collection to test out and tell you about. I was familiar with Jambu but I checked out their website to learn more.
Named for the Jambu tree in the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia, Jambu is an outdoor inspired family footwear brand. Jambu shoes and boots “fuse creative comfort designs and color with the latest in footwear tech.” Jambu gives back, too! They’ve partnered with American Forests to aid in the preservation and restoration of forests devastated by wildfires. Jambu has committed to plant an additional 50,000 trees this year! How cool is that?
It was tough to pick only ONE pair from the collection. I chose three options: Hush in black, Calypso in dark gray and San Fran in black. Jambu sent me the Hush shoes to try out and tell you about. These women’s vegan shoes are made with no animal products, are super light, have a memory foam foot bed for comfort and a partially recycled rubber All-Terra outsole. The “Bare Feet Designs” are minimalist and lightweight.
I put the Hush shoes through a very tough first trial. I went through O’Hare to LAX through 2 days at the Natural Products Expo and back home. The Natural Products Expo is HUGE. One day I walked for 8 hours and the next day I walked and stood at a booth for 6 hours. The shoes were super comfortable, I had no blisters or rubbing. No band aids were used. My feet felt great. The bungee in the back let me tighten the left and loosen the right, because my feet are slightly different sizes. The memory foam learned the shape of my foot. They were basically like wearing cute slippers all day. I was even complimented on them by another show attendee at a crosswalk!
I can’t wait until the weather actually warms up as I can see wearing these all summer with shorts, capris and skorts. The Hush shoes are perfect for traveling and walking for hours and hours. I can see some great adventures ahead with these shoes!
