Sunday Shuffle #2

I don’t have any one thing I wanted to chat about this week. I had a bunch of random things I wanted to tell folks about, so I came up with the idea for a “Sunday Shuffle.” Think of it as a peak into the rolodex of things in my mind that I might tell you about if some one “set me” to shuffle. This is number two in my shuffle “series.” Here is #1. Well, maybe it will be a series, I guess! We’ll see.

I am still smiling after the LA Marathon weekend which was a few weeks ago. I realized that I did not tell you about the Olympic Trials. We had an awesome spot near the LA Convention Center so we saw the runners EIGHT times! After the first hour or so, there was always something to see as the men’s and women’s races were staggered. Watching my fave runner, Meb Keflezighi, qualify again with such a strong performance on a hot, hot day was awesome. And the women’s race was super exciting, too. It was amazing to see the mix of emotions and determination of the best marathoners and half marathoners in the US. We also got to cheer for (former) hometown fave, and friend, Claudia and one of my fave Insta runners to follow Lindsay F., too.

I have another new podcast that I LOVE. It is Modern Love from WBUR which has actors reading Modern Love essays from the NY Times and then has the authors on to answer questions. I loved “The Plunge” read by Dakota Fanning about someone literally falling off a cliff and how that experience opens her up to falling in love.

I recruited a BUNCH more co-workers to participate in the SF Marathon and half marathon this week. Anyone else interested? Get $10 off with code TSFM2016ERICA or try the 5K with code TSFM2016ERICA5K. This is the 20th anniversary of my first marathon in SF in 1996 so I applied to be a race ambassador and have been recruiting friends for the last 6 plus months! The coolest thing about this race to me is that you can race the first half or the second half – you pick and it is two separate races. I wish more marathons had this option.

I am super excited to report that I am going to Natural Products – Expo West in a few weeks. This show has almost 3,000 exhibitors for the best new (and many current/old favorite) natural brands. So many of the brands that I highlight here will be there and SO many NEW ones! I will be working with Finds’ fave Simple Squares on Sunday and will roam the show on Saturday finding all of the best new things to tell you about. Excited? You should be because you know I will share the love!

And I will start sharing the love early… I will send one of each of 4 flavors of Simple Squares  (Cho-Coco, Sage, Chili Pep and Coconut) with two winners. To enter, leave a comment with your fave natural products brand that you want me to look for at Expo West. Bonus entry, follow Simple Squares on Twitter or like on Facebook and leave me a separate comment saying that you did. Winner must have a US postal address, be over 18 and offer is void where prohibited. I will pick 2 winners with random.org in order of comment on Saturday, March 5th. I will notify winners by email on March 6th. The winners are Shay and Tara Pittman!

What would you tell me if I “put you on Shuffle?”

PS. Don’t forget my great giveaways! I am doing a bunch at the moment!
