I saw this really cool video on Greatist with the long, but appropriate title, “This Woman’s 100-Day Time-Lapse Video Will Convince You Working Out Can Change Your Life Forever.”
The woman featured in this video, LaKeisha Shurn, was very overweight, depressed and wanted to turn her life around. She joined the #giveit100 challenge with the goal of going to the gym every day for 100 days. She wanted to impact not only her weight, but also her outlook on life. Her Twitter handle is @LoveThyself365 – nice. She posted daily videos on Giveit100. At the end of the 100 days, the site enabled her to compile a time-lapse video showing her struggles and triumphs (including a major weight loss).
What is Giveit100? Giveit100 is “a place for people who live life 100%. Choose what you want to get better at and share a video of your progress every day.” The founder took videos of her journey to learn to dance and then worked with several others to create the site which lets individuals choose what they want to learn/do and enables them to load 10 second videos per day for 100 days. Other people can see the videos (if the user chooses to share) and can like or comment on them – to cheer you on. After 100 days, you can continue the project for a year or more!
