If you’ve been around here, you know I love coffee AND wine. I also want whiter teeth. I was excited when the folks from Luster Premium White offered to send me their new, unique AM/PM Whitening Toothpaste System. The “system” includes a toothpaste for “an instant brightening boost” in the morning and a stain-fighting formula for the evening. Together, they offer “a comprehensive dental hygiene solution for your brightest, healthiest smile.” Sounds good to me!
Luster Premium White is formulated by dentists. They’ve done numerous clinical trials to maximize whitening while minimizing tooth sensitivity. Learn more about the science and studies HERE.
They suggest a three day trial for whiter teeth. I took a before picture and started with the AM toothpaste. Both toothpastes are mint flavored, enamel safe, contain Flouride and promote whitening. The AM freshens breath and “offers stain protection.” The PM provides “deep stain removal, kills bacteria and strengthens enamel.”
The AM toothpaste is bright blue and that’s its secret weapon. It contains a proprietary formula called “Bluverite.” They say, “Bluverite® acts by temporarily depositing subtle blue micro-particles onto the tooth’s surface, changing the optical properties and reducing the yellowness of the tooth’s surface. It’s formulated to help whiten stains with daily use.” The toothpaste does create a nice foam and it tastes pleasant and minty.
The PM toothpaste contains dental peroxide for stain removal. They say, it “delivers visible whitening by removing up to 95% of surface stains in just 5 days. Its gentle cleansing formula means you get a beautifully whiter smile while keeping your whole mouth clean and fresh.” It’s thicker and less minty than the AM but my teeth felt clean after brushing.
I felt like my teeth looked whiter after a few days. I took photos of my teeth before and after using the Luster AM/PM toothpastes for a week. I took them in the same spot (my office) and with the same lighting. Here are the pictures:
