Cycle for Survival ’18 – Another Awesome Year!

Yesterday, I participated in Cycle for Survival for the 7th year in a row. We had an eight woman team of riders on two bikes on our Erica Finds team. I’m proud to say that we raised over $15,000! We were in the top 10 fundraising teams for the Saturday morning shift and got some great swag and bragging rights again this year.

Our awesome team minus Liz B!

The event total so far this year is over 21 MILLION dollars with 20+ more events to go. Since its inception, Cycle for Survival has raised over 150 MILLION dollars in funds that go directly to research and clinical trials at Memorial Sloan Kettering. You can learn more about this awesome event in my post (and there is still time to enter my raffle for 7 great prizes! Ends 2/12 8:00 PM CST).

The event flew by this year and we had a blast! Every year, I wonder how it could get better and it does. As always, the instructors were amazing and the Equinox staff and team went above and beyond our expectations. Lisa and I were the second set of riders and smiled until our faces hurt. We also worked up a good sweat! The energy cannot be described but if every spin class was like this, I’d spin every day!

As always, there were wonderful tributes to family and friends and so much hope. Two families shared stories of their children receiving successful treatments from MSK. Did you know pediatric cancers are all rare cancers? I didn’t. But I’m excited that millions of dollars are being raised to treat them!

All in all, it was another super fun, energy-filled, amazing event. I’m so grateful for the support and my friends who join in all of the fun(draising) each year! Thank you to all who donated to support my team in this event. I encourage anyone who lives in one of the ride cities to check it out for next year (or this year – locations). Again, we wore our Viewsport sweat activated tanks that say Do It -> Don’t Quit and Work Hard / Hard Work on the back when sweaty. Perfect for the occasion!

PS. My raffle is open through 2/12 at 8:00 CST. You have to be in it to win it!
