Friday Five: 5 “On the Go” Foods I’m Trying Next

It’s Friday, so I’m linking up with Courtney at Eat, Pray, Run DC, Cynthia at You Signed Up for What and Mar at Mar on the Run. Each week they pick a theme and bloggers join in and link up. This year instead of specific themes, they are letting us be creative with broad themes for each week of the month. This is the a “food” themed week. I’ve got a ton of great new finds in my queue from new companies and new products from companies I love. Here are the five things that I’m excited to try next!

Five “On the Go” Foods I’m Trying Next

rxbarmaple

1. RxBar – Maple Sea Salt – I love RxBars with their powerful, all natural ingredients. They contain egg whites, fruits, nuts and “No B.S.” See my original review HERE. In the past year, they have re-branded and added some GREAT new flavors. The newest one in Maple Sea Salt. I’m SO excited to try it! I love everything maple. This bar has 12 grams of protein and no added sugar. I’m sure this will be a fave! You can find RxBar on the web and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

simple fruit

2. PowerBar – Simple Fruit Energy Food – These awesome little packs are made with real fruit, are gluten free and have only 100 calories. They come in 3 flavors: Apple Pear Raspberry, Apple Orange Lemon and Apple Mixed Berry. I got a bunch of these to try and share from my friends at PowerBar at the Rock N Roll Half Expo. All natural ingredients provide quick energy on the run and on the go – plus they taste great. You can find PowerBar on the web, in tons of stores and you can follow on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

epic packs

3. Epic Spreads Single Serving Packets – Epic Spreads now offers their delicious Peanut Cashew Coconut Spreads in single serve (1.15 oz) packets! I’ve tried Birthday Cake (it has sprinkles!) and S’mores. I’m excited to try Toffee and Cookies & Cream. I love the automatic portion control. I can tell you these are pretty hard to stop eating once you start with the jar. You can find Epic Spreads on the web and you can follow on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

goodgreens

4. Good! Greens Bars – Every Good! Greens bar is packed with “the antioxidant equivalent” to 100% of the recommended daily allowance of fruits and vegetables. They contain a probiotic, too. The bars are vegan and gluten free and they taste great. Kim discovered these in 2013 at the Cleveland Half (review). They used to have 6 flavors and now they have 12! They sent me one of each flavor to try. Stay tuned for a full review and giveaway. In the mean time, you can find Good! Greens on the web and you can follow on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

little buddy

5. Buddy’s Nut Butters– Little Buddy’s Packs – You know I love nut butter, so I couldn’t help but support Buddy’s Small Batch’s Kickstarter campaign. The campaign was to launch Little Buddy’s single serve packs. This small batch, artisan peanut butter is all natural and comes in three flavors. Buddy’s uses “real simple ingredients” to make peanut butter in Cinnamon Raisin, Honey Peanut and Chocolate Peanut. I can’t wait to try them all! You can find Buddy’s on the web and you can follow on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Have a great weekend!
