February Ultimate Coffee Date

Ultimate-Coffee-Date-Badge-e1416682466503Welcome to the second Ultimate Coffee Date link up of the new year. Iโ€˜m linking up again with Coco @ Running with Perseverance, Lynda @ Fitness Mom Wine Country, & Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the first “Ultimate Coffee Date” of 2016. What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup and “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that… My whirlwind travels have calmed down and I have been home for a few weeks. It has been great! The Husband has been here mostly, too. Whoo hoo! We are headed to LA and then I am going to Kansas and then San Francisco again but all in all I have been reasonable stable/calm.

I also learned how to use the timer on my phone! Not perfect but that's why they call it practice!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that… I have been doing Beth’s Yoga for Runners series. AND, I was selected for the Sweat Pink prAna campaign so I dusted off my yoga mat. I really like yoga, but like any habit, you have to keep at it or it is easy to fall off the wagon and not make time for it. I also used my sweet new Yoga Towel by FloAthletika
that I got via my relationship with Tomoson – it rocks – review to come. You can get some benefit from my Sweat Pink campaign, too! You can get use the discount code prAnaSpringStyleS16 for 15% off at prAna through 3/30/2016.

That looks SO much better. Why do I wait so long??

If we were having coffee, I would tell you thatโ€ฆ I just looked on Insta to see when the last time I got a haircut was… um, it was 29 weeks ago. No wonder I look so scraggly! That was mid July! I made an appointment for Wednesday. Maybe that will lighten me up a bit. I have been feeling a bit down. Maybe a “new look” will lift my spirits. I say new in quotes because I have had the same hairstyle for as long as I can remember.

Here goes nothing!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you thatโ€ฆ My hamstring is feeling SO much better. I am going to run the Los Angeles Marathon next weekend. I am a bit nervous about how I will feel. The leg is 90% or better, but I have been feeling a bit burned out and my crash and burn in Carlsbad did not inspire confidence. I am SUPER excited to see the Olympic Trials, our family and to run/cheer. It is all good! And as an added bonus, The Husband and I will be in the same place at the same time and as an LA native, he will be able to cheer and ferry us around easily. Woot! Plus, I have lots of friends coming to run and cheer so it should be a great weekend no matter what.

Pretty but dangerous!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you thatโ€ฆ I loved the surprise snow on the run on Friday, but loved the ice a little less. I fell and cut open my healed left knee from my pre-Thanksgiving fall. Path – 1 Erica – 0. Womp womp. Like I have said before, I will never be a knee model.

eOzEpYV1If we were having coffee, I would tell you that… There is still time for you to check out my Cycle for Survival raffle (there are free entry options, too, and I added bonus prizes) and to learn why I am so passionate about Cycle and all of the good it does. This the 10 year anniversary and the rides have raised 81.3 M dollars that has gone directly to cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering. You can learn more and donate HERE.

Wow! I have rambled on long enough – our coffee will get cold! What would you have told me? Please let me know in the comments.

PS. Resolve not to miss any of my great giveaways this year!
