Tried It Tuesday: Power Energy Toothpaste #Giveaway

You may have noticed that I am supercharged with caffeine most of the time. Heck, it’s legal! I love my coffee and am now a Run Gum Ambassador. So, when Dan contacted me to see if I wanted to check out Power Energy Toothpaste, a new caffeinated toothpaste, I was intrigued. Obviously.

So what is the deal with Power Energy Toothpaste? They say, “Power is the world’s first energy toothpaste. This is the toothpaste for people with big ideas and big dreams. Power works just like a normal toothpaste, but with an invigorating kick, so brush away and enjoy and energized and powerful morning.” They suggest that Power can help to “kick the morning grogginess” and enable you to be more alert before your coffee. The caffeine is absorbed through the mouth and tongue so you just brush and go (go, go). They say that Power Toothpaste gets into your system faster than coffee by absorbing through the mouth and “giving the user a boost within minutes.” One brushing has about the same amount of caffeine as a medium cup of coffee. Power is also made in the USA.

Here I go (go, go)!

Like Run Gum, I wanted to try Power for mornings when I run or exercise. I typically drink coffee when I get back and since I have been on the go, I need a little extra kick to get started. I tried the Power Energy Toothpaste each morning for a week. I was a bit nervous! It has a pleasant minty taste but is not as minty as my Crest. It is sweetened with Xylitol so it tastes like a natural toothpaste or gum to me. I did notice the small caffeine boost. I am excited to try this on race days as I don’t typically have coffee before I run races. In the spirit of full disclosure, The Husband did not want to try this as it is not yet ADA recommended. The tubes will be about $12 for 90 servings which is more expensive than regular toothpaste but way cheaper than 90 medium coffees!

Want to try some? Dan will send two small tubes to one lucky winner. Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter. The winner must be a US resident, 18 years of age or older and the offer is void where prohibited.
