If you have been around here a while, you may know that I am a bit obsessed with Kickstarter. I support lots of cool food companies that I work with among other things. When Enerchi Bites did their Kickstarter, I received an awesome, custom metal Square bottle from Clean Bottle as a perk. Then, Clean Bottle had a Kickstarter for their new line that included a water filter and fruit infuser. Can you see were this is going? Well, I got two Square bottles with filters and fruit infusers as perks for supporting the Kickstarter – one for me and one for one lucky person to win so keep reading!
Clean Bottle is a water bottle that unscrews at both ends for easy cleaning and drying. They say it is “the water bottle … reimagined.” They did a Kickstarter to launch the newest model of the Square. The new Square has all of the features of the original including:
- Double list system with removable bottom for easy cleaning
- Iconic square shape so the bottle won’t roll away, but still fits in cup holders
- Wide ergonomic handle for easy carrying
- Quarter turn lids for easy opening and leak proof seal

The New Square has all these features and more. It is larger (25 ounces vs 20 ounces) and is available at one third of the price! They also added a new “modular system.” They created some components because the screw off bottom of the Square enables functionality and flexibility that just isn’t possible with other bottles.
My Kickstarter bottles came with the first two modules: the Fast Flow Water Filter and the Infusing Chamber.
- The Fast Flow Water Filter turns the Square into a portable water filter. You unscrew the bottom and fill the Square via the fast flow filter. The Square filters water on the way into the bottle, so that it tastes great and is easy to drink. Each filter lasts for three months and the 100% natural filter removes chlorine, disinfection by-products, herbicides and pesticides and many other organic and inorganic contaminants that lead to bad tastes and odors.
- The Fruit Infusing Chamber lets you create a healthy and tasty alternative to sugar-based drinks. You add a handful of your favorite fresh fruits, place them in the infusion chamber and fill with water. In minutes you will have great tasting, naturally sweetened water. And because the Fruit infusing Chamber is located at the bottom of the Square, it holds the fruit down, maximizing its exposure to the water.
The Square is easy to use and to clean and the filter is simple, too. I started by using the filter. It takes about a minute to fill the bottle and the water tastes great. You pour the water through the the filter from the bottom and flip it over – voila! The water tasted great.
Next I tried the fruit infuser. I chopped up a pear and added some blueberries. It took a bit of time, but the flavor was pretty amazing! I am looking forward to adding some cucumbers and making some other “recipes” too! The infuser was easy to get in and out of the bottle and is easy to clean.
