The husband and I have been married for 12 years today. Some days it feels like it flew by and some days it feels like forever – just ask him! In honor of this anniversary (the silk/linen or pearl anniversary), I bring you a dozen reasons that the husband is awesome.
A Dozen Reasons “the Husband” is Awesome:
1. He likes me the way I am – quirks and all. And, I keep “perfecting” them as time goes by.
2. He is both the most predictable and most unpredictable person I know. An enigma, but he is mine, and he is never boring.
3. He is the smartest person I know, but he loves mind-candy silliness – like Jersey Shore which he says he watched “to get a better understanding of my youth.”
4. He has taken me to 4 continents and numerous countries and loves to travel as much as I do.
5. He is frugal, but generous, and has taught me to save well and enjoy our earnings, too.
6. He loves cars so much that when his eyes wander, I know he is checking out rides not ladies!
7. He is very optimistic – just ask him. (Inside joke)
8. He thinks my jokes are funny. He “gets” my sarcasm. He dishes it, too.
9. He bought me my “very own race car trailer” for our 9th anniversary. (So he has a good sense of humor, too.)
10. He has the capacity for pure joy – especially if it involves really good car racing.
11. He is very handy and fixes things at our house and for our friends, too!
12. He’s still got it. Look how handsome he is after all of these years!
I am a lucky woman and he is a lucky man.
