You know I LOVE a good farmers market. I especially love Chicago’s Green City Market at this time of year. There are SO many options from veggies and delicious summer fruits and much, much more.
I took some pictures of my visit yesterday. The colors were so vivid and everything looked fresh and inviting. I bought more than I could carry, as usual. I also noticed The Green City Market Cookbook for the first time. It is a collection of recipes gathered from customers, volunteers, farmers and Chicago chefs. Each recipe features the main crops of each season and the story behind the recipe from each contributor. It looks awesome and is less than $20 at Amazon at the moment!
Speaking of recipes for your farmers market finds, my friends at Zemas Madhouse Foods asked me tell you about their Rosemary-Millet Focaccia & Pizza Crust Mix. The mix is certified Gluten-Free, vegan, Non-GMO Project verified and is free of artificial colors, additives, refined sugar and preservatives.
