I tried some caramels from the Lovely Candy Company in a Love with Food box and I loved them. I got some delicious seasonal flavors at the Sweets and Snacks Show and then I contacted them to see if they were interested in a review. They were and they offered a giveaway, too! So stick with me and check them out and then you can enter to win all six of their delicious all natural, chewy candy flavors.
So what’s the story? They say, “The journey started when Jackie asked her husband, Mike, to go on a quest for her favorite candy… licorice. Hers was a special request that it needed to be consciously crafted with select ingredients, gluten and gmo free. What began with licorice, evolved into additional family favorites. The Lovely Candy Company was started with hopes to sweeten a lovely wife’s and families’ world – and yours too!”
The Lovely Candy Company makes delicious, “consciously crafted” candy. It is “the best tasting, smart indulgence.” All Lovely Candy products are non-gmo and contain none of the following: high fructose corn syrup, soy, trans fats, artificial colors, artificial ingredients or RBST. The products are certified Gluten Free, Kosher and 3rd party verified non-GMO, too. If you are going to eat candy, this is the way to do it!
The chewy candies come in six flavors: Caramel, Chocolate Swirl Caramel, Fruit Chews, Super Fruit Chews, Chocolate Chews and Raspberry Chocolate Chews. They also make three kinds of licorice. Lovely Candy Co. generously sent me one bag of each of the six flavors of chewy candy.  I tried all of the flavors, of course. The caramels are rich and delicious. The fruit chews taste like Starbursts but without the aftertaste and icky “teeth coated” feeling. The chocolate chews are soft, rich and delicious – think fresh Tootsie Rolls just off the production line with richer cocoa. The caramel and chocolate chews are my favorite, but I like them all.
I quickly shared Lovely Candy with friends so I would not eat them ALL myself. Here is some of the early feedback:
- Sapna said, “Ok, I already dug into the bag and absolutely LOVE the two I have tried…the chocolate tootsie roll type candy and the caramel. What I loved most about both is not only are they flavorful, they are soft. I feel sometimes the “real” versions of these candies can be so hard and chewy and then are all caught and stuck in my teeth. The Lovely Candy did not stick in my teeth and I really enjoyed the flavor and texture.” Â
- Jen and Maureen were also fans and Jen loved the fruit chews especially – although she cursed me for sending her with a bag full as they are hard to put away!
