Poosh, Last V-Day Deals & “Like” Me/Be My Valentine Give Away

306727_246819555355475_293427276_nI came across an ad for a company called “Poosh” and was compelled to click through. At first I was not sure why you would sign up for this, but the more I thought about it, the more it piqued my interest. Poosh is a health & fitness, text-message based service that enables “like minded people to connect and motivate each other directly to through their cell phones.” Poosh was created when its founders were working out in a local gym, wondering why there wasn’t a service for personal trainers or gyms to easily and effectively send text messages to their clients. (Ah hah, so that’s how they make money.)

Screen Shot 2013-02-11 at 7.45.32 PMI am generally self-motivated to work out and even to eat healthy most of the time. I could use a bit of daily motivation to have a more positive attitude (at work) and I also like to learn new things. So I signed up to get a once a day message from one of the public “lifestyle channels”. They also have public channels to motivate you for weight loss, fitness and other interests (for free – except text charges as they apply). Hopefully, I will get some pearls of wisdom to pass along to you! If not, it is easy to opt out!

Poosh offers trainers, health coaches and gyms the ability connect with clients outside of sessions, too! It is a pretty cool idea. What do you think?

So, I started an “Erica Finds” Facebook page and I am off to pretty good start. However, I long to be like Sally Field (you know “they like me, they really like me!”), so I am hosting a “Like” me & Be my Valentine give away.

logo-1I got some awesome Tees for Change motivational tees from Fit Frosting. Tees are made of sustainable and organic fabrics (SO SOFT!!). The blend of bamboo and organic cotton creates a luxuriously soft tee. And, for every tee they sell, they plant a tree by making a contribution to Trees For the Future. (I also have 2 pairs of smartwool glove liners – which I love – for the menfolk or if the T sizes don’t work!)

Check them out:
