I tried DEFI’s delicious chocolate and buckwheat superfood bites last year. I recently reconnected with them and they sent me all four flavors to check out. These chocolates combine indulgent snacks with better for you snacks in a unique and delicious way.
DEFI stands for “Delicious Energizing Fitness Indulgence.” It’s an American-made, woman-owned, high-protein chocolate brand. DEFI’s founder, Tatyana is from the Ukraine. When she came to the US, she was surprised that she didn’t see buckwheat in our diets. She set out to introduce a snack with this nutritious, gut-friendly, eco-friendly ingredient. She also saw a gap in “better for you indulgences,” so she set out to make something new.
DEFI Crispy Superfood Bites are gluten-free and non-GMO. Each 1 oz serving contains 6 to 7g of protein and 1 to 2g of fiber. In addition to dark or milk chocolate, they contain buckwheat, casein and whey protein. They’re made in America and the recipes were crafted by a chef who trained in Michelin starred restaurants.
DEFI Crispy Superfood Bites come in four flavors. They are Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Pink Himalayan Sea Salt and Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch. Each bag has 4 servings of 2 pieces per serving.
I’m a fan of all four flavors. If I had to pick favorites, I’d choose Dark Chocolate Pink Himalayan Sea Salt and Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch. Shown above is two servings. One to two pieces is a satisfying snack.
