October ’24 Runfessions

It’s the last Friday of the month, so it’s time to join Marcia for “Runfessions!” Runfessions are running truths or “where runners bare their souls and soles.” It may be an unpopular opinion, but I am SO excited that summer is almost over. Fall is my fave season – especially for running. It’s still filling a little like Aug-tober here, but we the marathon was good weather!

I runfess… I’m still smiling from the amazing Chicago Marathon weekend and from the race. I fully expected the wheels to fall off after running Berlin two weeks before and being so busy leading up to the race. They never did and I felt good start to finish. It’s going to be tough going back to the masses after being an ambassador and getting VIP treatment this year. Read my full recap and check out me pre-race reel here.

Fernanda is twice as crazy, too! And we both wore the same outfits in Chicago and Berlin!

I runfess… If you saw my September Runfessions, you’ll have seen that we were in Berlin for the Berlin Marathon. We had a great time with friends and love Berlin. I enjoyed running Berlin – especially the first 2K and the last 2K and the start and finish areas. The rest was SO crowded and challenging to navigate. I hate to be negative about about having gotten to run Berlin and having had an amazing trip. So, I’ll just say that it’s a one and done for me and I’m glad I ran it. Here’s my recap.

Me and Sue in Munich

I runfess… Sue and I had a blast running with Jo my Go Running Tours colleague in Munich. We learned a lot and loved getting to know Jo and Munich at the same time. Did you know that they have surfing in Munich? Check out my reel here to see.

I runfess… I’m excited to run NYC next weekend. I haven’t trained on any hills and I just ran two marathons in a row, but I haven’t been to NYC all year and I miss it! I’m a wee bit nervous as I had a pretty bad run last year but I’m going into it with a positive attitude. I have a bunch of friends running for the first time. If you know anyone who needs tips, here are mine.

I runfess… I’m thinking of retiring this singlet (in all of the above photos) after I run Tokyo. But it’s so easy to spot, it’s comfortable (and doesn’t smell) and the material is great in warm weather. What do you think?

Do you have any Runfessions? Please leave them in the comments.

I’m linking up with DarleneMichelleReneeJenn and Zenaida for Fit Five Friday. Join us!

Have a great weekend!
