It’s the first weekend of the month, so I‘m linking up with Coco and Deborah for the Ultimate Coffee Date. I’m just back from Europe where it felt like fall. It’s still pretty summery here in Chicago but my fingers are crossed that we’ll get some fall soon.
What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you about our fantastic trip to Amsterdam, Berlin and Munich. I enjoyed all three stops a lot. I am so happy that I got to explore Amsterdam and Munich – two places that I’ve never been. We ate all the foods, walked a zillion steps and shared some fun new experiences with our friends. What could be better? I’d ask if you’d had any fun adventures lately.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that while I enjoyed the Berlin Marathon, I don’t think I’ll likely do it again. I’m still a bit salty about how crowded it was and how aggressive runners were at the water stops (and just in general). I think it was very hyped up in my head from all of my friends who loved it. Read my recap here to learn more.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that we loved all of the food we tried in Amsterdam and Germany. In Amsterdam, we tried Dutch Pancakes, fresh Stroopwaffels and so many fresh delicious fish dishes. In Berlin, we lucked out to find some unique contemporary and traditional options. The food in Munich was very traditional and The Husband was in heaven. We also had some huge pretzels and lots of lager.
If we were having coffee… I’d also tell you that I’m excited for the Chicago Marathon. I’m leading a shakeout run again with Arc’teryx Chicago (RSVP here to join us) and got tickets for the Nobody Asked Us podcast event. I’m also speaking at a panel on Thursday and volunteering on Friday at the Expo. Oh, and I’m planning to run the race, too – LOL. I’d ask if you’re running or spectating here this year.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that after the Chicago Marathon events I’m volunteering again at Open House Chicago and finalizing plans for The Husband’s 50th birthday celebration. (And then I have to get ready for NYC Marathon…) One day at a time – right? I’d ask what’s keeping you busy this month!
If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!
I’m linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee, Jenn and Zenaida, for Fit Five Friday. Join us!
PS. Please don’t forget my great giveaways.
