I’ve been a big fan of Nichols Farms’ Pistachios since I found them at Expo East in 2022. They make a variety of in shell, shelled and flavored pistachio nuts including my favorite Cocoa Cookie.
I saw Nichols Farms at Sweets & Snacks and they shared some great news. They’ve expanded their organic line and now have the first Certified Organic flavored pistachio nuts on the market (shelled and in shell). They sent me some to try and some to share with a lucky reader.
Nichols Farms has a rich history in the heart of Central California’s fertile San Joaquin Valley. Their grandfather, ‘Nic,’ was one of the first pistachio and almond farmers in the Central Valley. Today, their fourth-generation farm is committed to delivering natural and healthy nuts. They continue to teach each member of their family the “gold standard” in farming and roasting processes, because that’s what makes our pistachios and almonds so flavorful. With over 60 years of knowledge and experience, they’re confident that “you’ll be able to taste the difference.”
Nichols Farms is proud to be certified organic farmers. The organic pistachios remain in their care from “tree to truck.” New artisan flavored organic pistachios are made in small batches. They’re crunchy and perfectly roasted without oil.
The organic nuts come in four varieties and shelled or with shell. The flavors are Roasted with Sea Salt, Habanero Lime, Hot Honey and Rosemary Garlic. They sent Roasted with Sea Salt, Maple Butter and Hot Honey for me to try. I tried the Habanero Lime at the shows.
The new flavors are delicious! We love the Maple Butter and Hot Honey. The one ounce serving of Maple Butter is very filling and we both love the flavor. My only wish is that they had an organic Cocoa Cookie. Don’t worry, those are still available in the traditional line.
